 Revolution Money and First Bank & Trust are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of your personal information. We want you to understand how we treat the information about you that we may obtain, how we use it, under what circumstances we may disclose it, if any, and what choices you have about how it may be shared and used. This Policy covers all of our information handling practices for both current and past Revolution MoneyExchange customers.

By using the website, www.revolutionmoneyexchange.com, you signify your assent to this Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our website thirty (30) days prior to implementing the change (to the extent commercially possible) or by e-mail. Your continued use of the Revolution MoneyExchange website following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept those changes.

Revolution Money Inc. is a participant in the TRUSTe Privacy Seal Program. TRUSTe is an independent organization whose mission is to advance privacy and trust in the networked world. As this Website wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, it has agreed to disclose its information practices and have its privacy practices monitored for compliance by TRUSTe. In order to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy, we have agreed to disclose our information practices and have our privacy practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe. TRUSTe will then serve as a liaison with us to resolve your concerns.

DEFINITIONS

We, our, and us, means First Bank & Trust, the issuer, and Revolution Money Inc., the marketer and servicer of your Revolution MoneyExchange account.

You and your mean users of the Revolution MoneyExchange website, customers with a Revolution MoneyExchange account (also referred to as MoneyExchange), as well as any consumers who apply for a Revolution MoneyExchange account.

Affiliate means a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.

 Nonaffiliated Third Party means a person we do not employ or a company that is not one of our affiliates.

Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing our services to you. Nonpublic information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records. Hereafter we will use the word "information" to mean nonpublic information as defined in this section.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

We collect and use only information needed to develop, offer, and deliver our products and services to you and to fulfill legal and regulatory requirements. For example, we are required by law to collect your social security number because you are opening a financial account. This information will also help prevent your identity from being used without your authorization. We do not collect your social security number in order to perform a credit inquiry on you in connection with the opening of a MoneyExchange account. We limit the collection and use of your information to the minimum we require to deliver superior service, administer our business and advise our registrants and customers about our products, services and other opportunities that may be of interest. We do not give, sell, share or rent this information to others for promotional purposes, except as disclosed in this policy.

We may obtain information about you from the following sources:

  • Information you provide to us through your account registration, that you otherwise enter on our website or that you provide to us in writing or by telephone, such as when you contact our customer service staff. This information may include both contact and financial information items such as your name, email address, mailing address, date of birth, telephone number, social security number and bank account information. We use this information when rendering our service to you, communicating with you and when verifying the accuracy of the personal information you provide (to protect both you and other MoneyExchange customers). In accordance with the law and your chosen information sharing preferences, we also use this information to advise you about products or services that may be of interest to you.
  • Information when you visit our website such as your IP address and standard web log information, such as browser type and pages accessed on our site. We use this information on an aggregate basis to analyze trends, administer the site and improve site performance and the user experience. In addition, please see Use of Cookies and other Technologies below for more details.
  • Information from your transactions with us and others when you use your MoneyExchange account. We use this information to process your transactions, send you notices about your transactions, resolve disputes, collect fees, prevent potentially prohibited or other illegal activities and to enforce our Accountholder Agreement.
  • Information from third parties, including public sources, such as verification services and consumer reporting agencies, or from other sources, such as from other financial institutions - such as a bank you use to transfer funds into or out of your MoneyExchange account. Examples of how we use this data include complying with regulatory requirements, determining your credit worthiness, ensuring the accuracy of data provided and guarding against fraud.

 

USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

Our web servers place and read "cookies" on our site's visitors' computers for a variety of purposes. Cookies are small data files that are stored on an Internet user's computer by a web server. One important use of cookies is to help identify you while you are logged in to the Revolution MoneyExchange website. Consequently, if your browser does not accept session cookies, you will be unable to enroll or log in to our service. You will, however, be able to browse our site as a visitor. The information Revolution Money collects from cookies and web server logs is used to administer the web service and customize information you receive when visiting our site. Revolution Money may also use and share aggregate information from cookies and web server logs to analyze and improve our web service offerings. The information collected from cookies and web server logs does not contain any personally identifiable information and does not identify individuals or customers.

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes the internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and clickstream data associated with your website visits. We use this information to analyze trends, to administer our web site, to track users' movements around the web site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We, certain third parties who host portions of our web site and certain advertising affiliates or others employ cookies and/or small pieces of code known as "web beacons" or "clear gifs" that, on an anonymous basis, count users that have visited a page that contains these web beacons. We use web beacons to help us better manage content on our site and to determine which content is most useful to users. In addition, third party advertising affiliates and others may use web beacons to help us track the effectiveness of our advertisements placed on third party web sites. Web beacons on our site are not used to collect personally identifiable information about our customers. Finally, we use web beacons in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients so that we may gauge the effectiveness of our communications. SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Revolution Money and First Bank & Trust understand the need to keep your information secure and private and has deployed industry-recognized physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that meet federal standards for the protection of such information, including but not limited to: intrusion monitoring and detection; SSL (secure socket layer)-based internet data encryption, password and advanced database encryption technology; firewalls and system monitoring; and periodic security audits and inspections. As an example, when you enter sensitive information such as your social security number on our registration form, we transmit the information in an encrypted format using SSL.

Only employees actively engaged in their assigned and relevant duties are authorized to access registrant and customer information. However, all of our employees are responsible for protecting the confidentiality of your financial and other personal information. Employees are bound by this Privacy Policy and are educated on implementing our privacy and information security policies.

Please remember that you also play an invaluable role in data security. You should never share your Revolution MoneyExchange User ID, password or PIN information with anyone. If you feel your password or PIN has been compromised, you should change it immediately. Moreover, each time you finish a session on the MoneyExchange site, you should log out of your MoneyExchange account and exit your browser so that no unauthorized persons can use our site under your name and account information.

SHARING INFORMATION WITH OUR AFFLIATES AND LIMITING MARKETING BY OUR AFFILIATES

We may share information with our Affiliates in order to offer you additional products and services in accordance with your preferences and as permitted by law. If you select Box 1 on the Opt Out Form, we will limit the information we will share with our Affiliates to only your name, address and telephone number, along with our transactions or experiences with you, such as your account history.

You may also tell us to limit our Affiliates from marketing their products and services to you based upon the information about you that we collect and share with them, This information may include your account history with us and your credit eligibility. By selecting Box 2 on the Opt Out Form, you may limit our Affiliates from marketing their products and services to you, except as permitted by law (if, for example, you currently do business with one of our Affiliates or ask to receive offers or information from them).

You may tell us not to share information with our Affiliates and you may limit our Affiliates from marketing their products or services to you as described above by opting out using the attached form at any time (refer to Boxes 1 and 2 on the form, respectively). Alternatively, you can call MoneyExchange Customer Service at 1-800-794-9071, or write to us at: Revolution Money Inc., Opt Out, P.O. Box 989, St. Petersburg, Florida 33731. Your choice to limit marketing offers from our Affiliates will be good for a period no less than five (5) years, beginning when your opt out election is received and implemented by us, unless you subsequently revoke your opt out in writing or electronically. Once that period expires, you will receive a renewal notice that will allow you to continue to limit your receipt of marketing offers from our Affiliates for an additional period of no less than five (5) years. If you have already made a choice to limit marketing offers from us or one of our Affiliates, you do not need to act again until you receive the renewal notice. Please refer to the Consequences of Opting Out below for further details.

SHARING INFORMATION WITH NONAFFILIATED THIRD PARTIES

We only share your personal information with nonaffiliated third parties in accordance with your preferences or as permitted or required by law, including as provided below:

Agents and Service Providers. In order to provide our products and services, we may share any of the information we gather about you with agents and service providers to perform functions on our behalf, such as to send email and postal mail, analyze data, perform identity and linked bank account verification services, provide marketing services, process applications and credit card payments and service accounts. These service providers have access to information needed to perform their functions but will be bound by legal agreements to not use or disclose the information we provide them for any reason other than to perform the contracted service.

Other MoneyExchange Accountholders. To process payments, we may need to share some of your information with the person or company with whom you are exchanging money. For example, your contact information may be displayed to other accountholders with whom you transact through MoneyExchange. We work with merchants to enable them to accept payments from you using MoneyExchange. In doing so, a merchant may share information about you with us, such as your email address, when you attempt to pay that merchant. We use this information to confirm to that merchant that you are in fact a MoneyExchange customer and that the merchant should enable MoneyExchange as a form of payment for your purchase. We do not at any time disclose your bank account number or other financial information to anyone you have paid or who has paid you through MoneyExchange, except with your express permission or if we are required to do so to comply with a subpoena or other legal process as further described below.

Legal Matters. We may need to disclose information about you to third parties when we believe such disclosure is required to comply with a legal requirement such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena or search warrant or in the course of a legal proceeding. We may also disclose information as we believe required to enforce or apply our rights under our agreements with accountholders and to protect the rights, property or safety of Revolution Money or First Bank & Trust, our accountholders and others, including exchanging information for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Business Transfers. If there is a change of control in our business (whether by merger, sale or otherwise), information on our registrants and/or accountholders could be sold as part of that transaction and your information could potentially be used by the purchaser. In the case of such an event, notice will be posted on our website so that you are aware of this change of control. However, if such a change of control materially changes this Policy or the information-handling practices as described in this Policy, you will be notified by e-mail and/or through a notice posted on our website and you will have a choice as to whether your existing information is used in a new manner.

Sharing of Non-Personally Identifiable Information. We may also provide aggregated information about our customers to third parties for audit, marketing and other purposes. None of this aggregated data can be identified as being associated with any individual customers. Because of this, such third parties will not have access to any personally identifiable information about you.

Refer-a-Friend Information. You may use our Refer-a-Friend program to notify your family and friends about Revolution MoneyExchange by providing their e-mail addresses to us. We will automatically send a onetime email on your behalf inviting your family and friends to visit our website and open an account. We store the information only for the purpose of sending this onetime email and to measure overall response rates to this program. Your family and friends may contact Revolution Money to request that their information be deleted, and they will have the option to receive no further email communications from us by following the instructions in the e-mail we send on your behalf.

Collection of Information from Children.

The services offered through the Revolution MoneyExchange website are not intended for use by children. Accordingly, we do not knowingly collect, either online or offline, personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Accounts and related services are only available to those persons age 18 and over. In certain states, you must be at least 19 years of age to open an account. See Accountholder Agreement for more information.

CHOICES REGARDING THE RECEIPT OF MESSAGES

Transactional/Account Correspondence. By registering on the Revolution MoneyExchange website, you agree to receive mandatory e-mail notifications and confirmations (such as transaction details and changes made to your online profile). If you do not wish to receive e-mails of this kind from us, please cancel your registration on our site and discontinue any and all use of Revolution MoneyExchange. To cancel your MoneyExchange account, log in to your account and select the "Help" tab. In the "Help" section, select the "Cancel Account" link and follow the instructions.

Promotional Correspondence. Registrants also receive information on special promotions, product and service updates. In addition, we may occasionally present a special sweepstakes, promotion or survey. To qualify for entry or participate, we may ask you to provide personal information. If we plan to share that information with any sponsor(s), we will inform you of that intent in the specific correspondence or promotion. To opt-out from receipt of notifications and promotional information we send you via e-mail, contact us at any time by calling MoneyExchange Customer Service at 1-800-794-9071. You may also unsubscribe from this type of e-mail correspondence by simply following the "unsubscribe" or removal instructions provided in each e-mail correspondence we send you.

CONSEQUENCES OF OPTING OUT

When you opt out of having your information shared with our Affiliates and nonaffiliated third parties, there are instances, as discussed previously in this Policy, where we will still need to make this information available in order to fulfill our obligations to you as a customer or to legal authorities. However, in these situations, our Affiliates and nonaffiliated third parties are required to use your information only for the explicit purpose for which it is provided and not for marketing purposes if you have directed them not to do so.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO CONTACT US UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUBMIT OR UPDATE YOUR OPT OUT CHOICES AS LISTED IN THIS POLICY.

If you previously provided us with opt out instructions with respect to another account issued by First Bank & Trust, including a Revolution Money credit card account, we will continue to honor those instructions. You can but do not need to complete additional opt out instructions regarding your MoneyExchange account.

Special Notice for Vermont Residents:
In order to comply with Vermont law, we will automatically treat accounts with Vermont mailing addresses as if you have made each of the opt out choices on the Opt Out Form. In addition, if we disclose information about you to other nonaffiliated third parties with which we have joint marketing agreements, we will only disclose your name, contact information and information about your transactions or experiences with you.

Special Notice for California Residents:
In order to comply with California law, we will automatically treat accounts with California mailing addresses as if you filled in Box 3 on the Opt Out Form and will not disclose information about you to nonaffiliated third parties except as permitted by applicable California law. We will also limit the sharing of information about you with our Affiliates to comply with California privacy laws that apply to us. To further restrict sharing with and marketing by our Affiliates, you may make the elections as described in boxes 1 and 2 on the Opt Out Form.

ACCESSING AND UPDATING YOUR REVOLUTION MONEYEXCHANGE PROFILE

You may access and update your personal information such as your name, mailing address, email address and telephone number by logging into your MoneyExchange account and making any necessary changes under the "My Profile" section. To make additional changes or updates to your personal information beyond what is available on your account profile, you must contact MoneyExchange Customer Service at 1-800-794-9071.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

Through our various online offerings, we may provide links to third-party websites. Each third party site may have separate privacy and different data-collection practices than those associated with Revolution Money. We are not responsible for the actions or practices of these third parties or for the content on these sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each of their sites.
